The Council on Upper Cervical Care, established by the International Chiropractors Association in 2008 to create a professional forum to advance chiropractic expertise in research, analysis and care of the upper cervical spine, offers a unique service for the chiropractic profession, for upper cervical programs and systems, and for individual doctors of chiropractic involved in the practice of and advancement of upper cervical specific protocols for patient care.
Key initiatives of the Council on Upper Cervical Care include the development and launch of a post-doctoral diplomate curriculum, advancement of upper cervical research, and resources for advocacy and information services in academic, clinical, research, and policy-making environments to assure the unique interests and needs of upper cervical practice are comprehensively considered and protected. The Council’s growing network of practitioners invites ongoing dialogue, input and professional development through its opportunities for membership forums, special publications, and research and educational program initiatives.
